Our film begins with the main character, Adeline a young deaf girl. She starts her walk home from school but is targeted by three of her fellow classmates. To escape this incident she runs as fast as she can to the forest where is feels she is free to be herself.  Of course the three girls follow her, enjoying the game she is presenting to them.  Grace, one of the three others attempts to stop the other two but doesn’t manage to. Grace is the one who then ends up finding Adeline in the forest and after a long pause, instead of tormenting her further she tells her to run away before the others get back. Once Adeline runs off the two girls come back to Grace who has now built up the courage to stand up for Adeline and to stand up for what she believes is the right thing to do.
The genre of our short film is drama. Drama explores the emotional and development of realistic characters, which heightens climax and builds suspense once invested into the lives of the characters.
The style of the film has a lot of slow movements really focusing on the cinematography especially when Adeline and the girls are in the forest. The slow motion is exaggerated at times but having silence and faint music in the background, will help convey the drama genre as well as heightening the suspense.
